Just Waiting for it to Strike
Last week my Almost One Year Old granddaughter had the flu. Last Friday all the kids and grandkids came over to celebrate DH's 62nd birthday. Yesterday The Almost One Year Old's mother, DD#2, had to stay home from work because she got the flu. She was too sick to pick up The Seven Year Old from school so she called and asked if I'd do the honours. After dropping him off I raced home to slather myself with antibacterial hand wash and when that had dried I washed my hands with soap. Today DD#2 called and told me I won't need to pick up The Seven Year Old from school (Tuesdays are my usual day to do this) as he is home, sick with the flu. I just know I'm next. At least it's not one of those that lasts a whole week. It might even be the dreaded Swine Flu, although, I'm not dreading that. It's supposed to be pretty mild as flues go. I'm just waiting for it to strike.
