Bugs & Outlandish Lyrics in First Thing This A.m.

Last night I had a most unfortunate event. I was in bed and things were fine, then I got up to wash my face so that I could go to sleep, and THAT'S when I found it. I felt this thing moving around in my hair. I was totally freakin out. I ran outta the room to get R. I was like THERE IS SOMETHING IN MY HAIR GET IT OUT GET IT OUT! He calmly looked at me and started swatting my hair until the bug came out. GROSS!!! Then he stomped it. Sweet justice. It was a flying beetle thinger. And ya know how this atrocity happened? We had been out back smoking and these things were flying all around like they owned the patio. That freaked me out by itself but MAN having it in my hair??? Gross times 100. Then of course I saw and felt bugs until I was finally graced with sleep. Man it was a rough night.

In other news, I think my radio station should rename itself Ho's R Us. I hit snooze about 12 times in the morning ya see, so the first wake up I heard that "I kissed a girl and I liked it, taste of her cherry chapstick" song, sung by a girl who used to be a Christian singer. Go figure. Next snooze I hear "Sliding down the pole no panties no skirt Hit ya from the front then hit ya from the side..." That's when I started thinking what am I listening to??? So this trend continued and I started thinking about my radio station pick. haha I decided tho that I like the morning show - who was on vacation this morning hence all the songs - so I will deal with it in the mornings. For the rest of the day I am going with other stations... Another thing I was thinking tho is what are teens listening to? I listen to a hip-hop (I guess?) station with a variety, but it's a lot of rap-ish songs... I like the beat, but man the words can be pretty amazing! I wonder what they think about it...

So, my excitement for Saturday afternoon has not waned. I really am looking forward to possibly helping a dog find a forever home. How WONDERFUL would that be? SB and I were talking about it and we think it mostly depends on the dogs we are given to advocate for the day. Hehe.

It's Wednesday. Glory be. COME ON FRIDAY! :0)

Oh my, the bug in the hair. I wouldn't sleep for days. You just lie there imagining every little movement is a bug or spider... Ugggg.... hate that.

You and PD are similar. She is sooooooooo afraid of spiders. If that happened to her, she would freak...spider or no.

In my family we catch and release the bugs outside.I'm serious about this.Good luck on Saturday.Be ready for the excuses people will have about why they can't adopt 'your' dog.Have solutions and answers ready that may help them realize that if they really are in love and want the dog, there are solutions to make it possible.GOOD LUCK!!!! Take a pic of the pup on Saturday and let us know how it went!

And I always have a freak out when any bug crawls on me in my home BUT a beetle hitched a ride on my hoodie when I hiked up to overlook the Sierra Nevadas. That cracked me up!

I once lathered up my face with my soapy hands, wet my face cloth under the faucet and wiped all the soap off my face. Then I opened my eyes to find a smooshed, gigantic moth on my face cloth.

At the graduation party I thought the same exact thing. Why? Because I put on some mix music (i.e appeals to young, old, and everyone in between) and they changed it.

Yikes... it's too early in the morning for those kinds of lyrics! Then again, I can't say I'd want to hear them at any time of day. I'm SO excited for you for Saturday to come. It's going to be great!!

Ugh! I'd freak out and have in the past. I remember feeling something on my face many years ago and I woke up. There was a spider sitting on my pillow! Talk about freaking out!

I can't wait to hear about Saturday. Yes some of the lyrics should not be listened to by vulnerable teen agers who don't have a lick of sense.
