Productive Saturday

Ron and I got a lot done yesterday (for us!). We like to be lazy... I had a very lazy morning filled with coffee and cuddles from the kiddos, then proceeded to paint over my yellow bathroom walls with Gray. Skylar was funny, she said everything in this house will be gray because it’s your favorite! She doesn’t miss much.

Skylar gave us quite a scare on Friday. We had movie tickets and were taking the kiddos to a nearby “camp” that is in the same plaza as the theater, so it’s super convenient. Skylar decided she didn’t want to go and was being her usual drama queen self (whining and crying) which I was effectively ignoring. When it came time to go a few minutes later we could NOT find her. We live on a busy road so when we both searched the house to no avail I started to worry she went outside.. we searched outside and nothing. Did someone take her??? My anxiety filled brain tends to go to worst case scenario fairly quickly. 25 minutes in of no sign of her we debating calling the police - we didn’t know what to do!!! Alas I searched for the tenth time and found her under her bed covered in stuffed animals. I was so thankful but oh so pissed! Ron asked if we should just stay home and I was like oh hell no, then her antics will have worked! So we put the kiddos in the car and went. She was a hot mess at drop off but all smiles at pick up. She spent all of yesterday in and out of timeouts with several other restrictions for being so naughty. I wonder if she realizes how scared we were.

Anyways! I meant to post about our productivity. Haha
Here are some pictures! We ran out of the darker purple-gray paint which is why there are three colors... ha

Another side note - I forgot what a process it is on here to add pictures!

And Ron did some work on this - I am hoping he can figure out how to add doors, we shall see. It looks great as it is so it’ll be ok regardless.

I have to work all day, but happy Sunday to everyone!

Most of the walls in our current house have become shades of yellow since we've been here

On Zillow I found a house in our neighborhood with the same floor plan as ours, and it looks so nice inside! It's fun to see what we could do at our house with paint, especially the downstairs bath that has orange/yellow faux texture walls and a dark purple ceiling that we inherited from the people who lived there before. You've inspired me to make a renewed effort to get all that painted over.

I shudder in horror at what Skylar did and can only imagine how terrified you and Ron were. Glad you were firm. Your wine barrel is wonderful. I
have a storm cellar and sometimes store wine there because it is cool and dim.

That's a great place to store wine! I have wanted it to lay flat for some time now, so finally I am able to do just that.

Kids never realize how scared parents get when you don't know where they are -- they'll only be clued in when they get to be the worried ones. I love your wine barrel, but assume this is not in your bathroom. Now that would be an odd party.

No it's in the dining room. Ron worked on that while I worked on painting the bathrooms. Good day!

I mentioned the uploading pics business to Eddie on his suggestion request post. Hopefully he can build a resizer into the process.

In my older years two younger friends have adopted me as their surrogate mother. Perfect. I didn't have to raise them and worry myself to pieces. Glad to see you posting again.
