3rd Time is the Charm?

Third attempt at this post. If this doesn't work peace out cub scouts. haha

So we decided what to do for Christmas. We will start the weekend before Christmas in NY to see Steve and stay with Erin. They both live on ginormous hills so if it snows, life will be interesting indeed. Anyways, I am sure I will get to see him at least which will be nice. That Sunday we will drive towards WI, probably stopping for the night along the way. It will be a pain in the butt but I couldn't make peace with an either/or decision. Sawyer keeps saying how much he wants to go to Mema and Pop Pop's and I heard Skylar say "We always go to Mema and Pop Pop's for Christmas" so yeah, we made the right decision.

We decorated the tree today. The kiddos were actually helpful! Imagine that. Sawyer broke an ornament but luckily it had no sentimental value so no biggie. He felt terrible though so I had to make extra sure to reiterate that it was a mistake and mistakes happen and not to worry about it. He can be cute when he's not being stubborn.

I hope you all had a wonderful and enjoyable Thanksgiving! We did, we went to a friends house where the kiddos have friends their age so they had a blast, we had fun, a true win win. Friday night we went to DC for an overnight. The kiddos loved the metro and seeing dinosaur bones at the Natural History museum. It was a good, yet quick, trip to the city.

I hope y'all enjoy the short bit left of your weekend!

Comments:

I have a family of cousins who have 6 kids, maybe 7 - it's hard to keep up. They come visit once every year or so and we get to know them a little bit in their new 'one year older' stage of growth. I send a Christmas box, but the years I don't see them, I have no idea what they'd like, and they never ever send any feedback or thank you, so totally no idea. This year I sent placemats with wildlife scenes and some miscellaneous crap I threw in the box. There wasn't nearly enough of the odds and ends for there to be something for each child, and no thought went into whether they'd like it. I didn't wrap it, told their mother to dole it out as she saw fit. Maybe next year I'll have better ideas.

You are very brave doing all that traveling with the kiddo's. What about the dogs? They going to?

We have a dog sitter who stays overnight with them.

If you did an overhaul I think the core members here would be on a witch hunt for you

OK. You are correct the site does kind of blow on mobile. I am trying to figure out what my next step will be with the platform. Just incremental improvements...or an overhaul.

Hmmm... both? I wrote it on my phone twice and whenever I would try to move the screen to see what I typed it would disappear if I wasn’t careful.
Computers work great, just not Mobil friendly

Nice tree! We downsides a few years ago to a 3-footer and I had granddaughter decorate it this year. Getting the stuff off the shelf in the laundry room is about as much involvement as I care for these days. Sounds like a good plan for Christmas. Enjoy the traveling while you have the energy!

I don’t ever want to run out of energy for traveling! Eek.

So Skylar is in that cute stage of missing teeth!! You can show this picture to her prom date and totally devastate her. The little man is very handsome in his green ears.

She has grown up teeth coming in on the bottom, she’s pretty excited.
Sawyer is our handful child. Sometimes I remind him that he’s lucky he’s cute.
