Midnight

You're not silly at all. I have to start picking all the cat-friendly stuff that is now all over the floor, because I have guests coming. Poor little things will have to do without for a while. Our 3rd cat Max, inherited from a friend who passed, doesn't sleep with us because the other two do and one is very territorial. But each night before turning in, I look around for him in the darkened house. He always chirps to let me know where he is and I go over and give him his goodnight tummy rub.

I have three cats that sleep on my bed and Midnight always curls up in my arms. I have to keep shifting him around because his whiskers tickle my face and keeps me awake. The three cats think it is their bed and they just allow me to sleep there.

Love her or him). My two dogs have been hiding from me under my bed. I am now "doctoring" both and keep the doors locked to my bedroom. So little one runs out through the doggie door. Darn it. My older one bit my good yesterday morning, so she was really in the dog house. I didn't share my banana at breakfast with her - she moped over this. I shamed her so much that she really tried to make up for it.

Now, I put her leash on her and tie it to a chair. That way, she knows who the super dog is, and I have no problem doctoring her ears.

Hi Nenah! Midnight is my sweet little Momma's boy. That's a great idea using the leash and tieing it to a chair. I will have to try that next time I need to doctor one of my fur babies. Why are you having to doctor their ears....do they have ear mites?

Too cute! Love the hiding spot!

Midnight does too! It took me hours to find him.

That lampshade is serving a good purpose--a hidey hole for Midnight. Nothing wrong with that!

There is not a thing wrong with that!

I think black cats are special and who are we to deny their whims?
comment by elderjane on Nov 17, 2010 6:12 AM ()
He is very special! Since he is declawed, he is strictly an indoor cat. I am especially careful at Halloween to not let him dart out the door. I would have to say he is second in command in the household. The ruling queen is my tortie named Belle.

Awww He's adorable.

Thank you....he is my sweet boy. Sleeps with me every night.

I am so glad that you are keeping it.

I don't think you're at all nuts to hang onto that lampshade because it makes Midnight happy. We have a raggedy blanket that cats chew on, the binding is coming off, but will keep it as long as they want to do that.

My animals pretty much rule my house so I will definitely keep his favorite hiding place for him. I have a toy box filled with stuffed animals that my dogs play with and the only ones I throw away are when they tear them playing tug-of-war and the little beads spill out on the floor. My animals have become my children.

I couldn't see him at first! Love cats
comment by febreze on Nov 14, 2010 11:29 AM ()
I went looking for him and could not find him anywhere. I was in a panic because I thought he had gotten out, he is an inside cat because he has been declawed. I would never have looked there but he made a noise and I glanced up and saw him under the lampshade. It's his favorite place.

Thank you...he is my sweet boy. He lays up by my head when I go to bed and his purring drives me bonkers it is so loud.

Those little eyes peeking out is one of the cutest things I've seen in a long time. You're not silly. And neither is the cat. Everyone needs a good hiding spot.

He has the most beautiful yellow eyes and watches all the activity from his perch. I think being so high up makes him feel safe.

That would have been a great caption; wish I had thought of it. He has so much fun hiding under the lampshade I don't have the heart to throw it away. I'll definitely keep it.

Such a great pic! Luv your lil baby! Midnight is a perfect name.

BTW: Great game. Almost! I was really pulling for the Dawgs.

Midnight is solid black, not a speck of white on him anywhere and he has the most enormous, beautiful yellow eyes. He is a sweet boy. Sad we lost that game...the end was nearly a disaster with some fists flying.
