Rex and His Prognosis

Rex has rocky mountain spotted fever and is going to be on medication until tick season is over. He is his old self today, barking at everyone who has the temerity to come too close to his driveway. He ate well and I think the scare is over.

The smell of meatloaf is wafting through the h ouse. Not a stellar Sunday dinner but it will have to do. I will make a coconut cream pie to go with it.

Not much doing on Blogster today. I envision everyone at the lake. I am doing a lot of cooking and resting up. I hope you are all having an exciting holiday.

Has anyone been able to find cherry choclate Dr Pepper? Deb blogged about it and I have been searching ever since. I can find cherry vanilla and it is very good. Diet, of course.

Glad you got the prognosis on Rex and now he's doing well. That's a relief! I did find a picture of the cherry chocolate Dr. Pepper. I will try to find a way to send it to you through messaging. I might be able to figure it out...

My dad got Rocky Mtn tick fever and my mother may have had a touch of it. It took them a long time to feel better. I always wonder how you would check a dog for ticks through all that hair, but it would be the same for cats. You know who stays inside here in tickville.

So glad to hear that Rex is on the mend. That had to be awful when you saw him so sick. I love meatloaf. My mom used to make it with three kinds of ground meat and it was very good. I have the recipe if you're interested in it for something different. Coconut cream pie? I love any kind of cream pie! Ted's very a lucky man.

Don't like Dr. Pepper. I'm a Coke and root beer drinker myself. Happy Rex is going to be okay. That is scary.
