Odds and Ends and Rex and Me

Rex has been lethargic and has had fever so I gave him a little aspirin and 3 ampicillan shots for which I was scolded roundly by the Vet that I gave up and took him to this morning. I think it is a tick borne illness and the vet is checking him for that and I should know something tomorrow. He got much better after my treatment but I was afraid it might be serious. The vet says not to give aspirin and not to try and treat him but I suspect that these instructions are based on materialism. It cost $l67. for his visit.

We met a lot of nice people in the Vet's office and a lot of lovely dogs. Rex loves other dogs and gives them kisses.
Fortunately, the other dogs were friendly too. I h ave tablets to give him four times a day and believe me, it ain't easy.

I am supposed to have a garage sale tomorrow but the weather if threatening. I hope I can because I need to get
rid of a lot of stuff. Celeste is going to help me and put in some of her things too.

bye for now.

I know this is butting in, and I apologize, but Jeri, if your heart really doesn't want to leave where you are, and you can arrange for the services you need at home, think two or three more times about leaving a place you love. Then do what you feel is right for you. Love & hugs, Stephy

if you suspect your vet is money-mad, you might get a second
opinion. It's hard to find a good one, though. We like our
guy at the Fort Myers Cat Hospital. He's thorough but he ain't
cheap. Brunswick's med for epilepsy runs out every few months
and he won't renew until we bring him in. It's a system.
I hope Rex feels better soon. Animals can't tell you what's wrong. It's worrisome.

Sorry to hear about this.Have you used any frontline plus to
help this condition. This works well.Try to keep him out of
tall grass, that is where most of the ticks harbor.
Not sure what type that you there. Here we have what they called
deer ticks.I am not sure which is the bad ticks. There are so
many out there.
