I usually go to Aldi's early on Wednesday to get their
specials...this week it was strawberries and blueberries
for a buck.
I heard this 92 year old man trying to put the make on a
nice slim lady of 78. They sere exchanging ages but she
was cringing a little at the attention. They discussed
the senior citizen's center for a bit and he told her he
was a WWII veteran and that there was a big picture of
himself with his son on it at the Senior Center. This was
a very loud conversation since both had hearing problems.
.
She was obviously extremely unwilling to continue the conversation . He was hell bent on pursuit. When they
got to the checkout line, he pulled out a juice harp and
played a lively tune. He said, "That was for lover's you
know." She said, "I recognized it." She loaded up her
groceries and fled. I had empathy for both of them but
I kind of had to appreciate his valor.
