Hi

Thanks Strider!
This looks much easier! I can't wait to get it going! First and foremost I need to go check my soup and bread.

I then got in the kitchen and decided to make a stewed chicken but it's gonna end up being a chicken soup as I get to feeling worse as the day is progressing. I'm inventing this soup as I go along. It smells absolutely heavenly. When I changed my mind and started making soup I put on some bread to rise. There's nothing better than homemade soup and homemade bread. It willdefinately cure what ails you.

Two cloves of garlic minced, half of a large onion chopped, three stalks of celery chopped and three carrots chopped. Saute in 2 T of olive oil until translucent, remove vegies and take 6 chicken thighs and season with salt and pepper and fry in 2T olive oil until browned not cooked through. Remove chicken and add 1 cup of chardonnay deglaze the pot and then add all the ingredients back into the pot. Cover with water and bring to a boil, once boiling turn to low and simmer for an hour. Remove chicken and take the skin off and the bones out. Coursely chop the chicken and add back to the pot. Stir in half a bag of egg noodles and continue cooking until noodles are tender. Serve with bread and salad. HINT...if the thighs leave too much grease on the top of the pot, lay a piece of bread over the top of the soup and it will soak up the excess oil, remove with a spoon and toss out. You may need two pieces of bread or more depending on the size of the pot.

Well. Well. About time! We have so far managed to leave the politicals and the victim crybabies behind. It is so much nicer over here. Eddie makes good java! Now, let's have a great recipe!

Now I'm REALLY hungry... glad to see you here at mybloggers. Homemade soup and bread is one of my favorite meals too. My soup is usually ham based and I make sweet challah.

Sounds good. I made a chicken stew last week in my slow cooker (I love versaware!). Cut up a whole chicken, browned it, removed. Sauteed leek, shallots, celery, carrots. Deglazed with chardonnay. Added chicken and fresh cut roma tomatoes, salt, pepper, herbes de provence. Let it cook all afternoon.

Welcome to mybloggers and I hope you feel better.
