I've always been a singing bass, but right now, I'm a talking--make that whispering--bass, very deep bass.
The mild cold I thought I had last week, developed into a rather severe head and deep throat cold over the weekend. As a result, I pretty much lost my voice. And, of course, I've been miserable.
Worse, the weather has been super nice, and I haven't felt up to par to playing golf. I'll try today and see how long I last.
And even worser, I've been called upon to run several "errands". First, my Honduran daughter is "home" for the week--in and out--as she's taking "continuing education" courses for her optometry licence. So I've been "hosting" her. No big deal, but I couldn't just "crash".
Then yesterday, I had promised my sister I'd accompany her to the out-patient hospital for ear surgery. What we thought would be a 3 hour affair, turned out to be virtually all day (7 hr.), what with me waiting around, driving her home, picking up meds (3 trips to various pharmecists), etc.
We had a family supper planned at my Dad's house last night-the only night free for Valerie (Hond.) and her sister (Emily) and my grandson. It was fun, but I was exhausted. Plus, I couldn't talk. I'm sure the food was good (other sister Barb cooked), although I couldn't taste it.
I just hope I didn't pass my cold on to the whole family! This has been no fun. But I think I'm over the hump. I'll catch up on all your doings this weekend. This 70+ degree weather will be soon gone. By the way, still NO RAIN!!
