Mean Green Tomato Thing ...

Last night I was watering my tomato plants per usual and I saw one really thick branch. I was like wha???

It was really ugly and had many legs.. it looked like this:

EIW!!! R couldn't remove it from the branch so we had to cut the branch off... I asked R to throw it in the neighbors yard, I do not want it back! I then found another one. what is this imposter???? GROSS!!!

I shall leave you with a nice picture though. This is the puppy that I walk having a look into the fountain in his complex. He is just toooooo cute for words! Love him.

Have a good weekend!

I hate touching them too, but pull them off if you see more.

GROSS!!! So far I have not had any of those nasty whachamagiggers. I have creepy, crawly things. The puppy looks like he is thinking of jumping in.

Yes, as the weeks went by we learned that he did want to jump in - luckily he never did. And yeah after cutting about 5 of those nasty suckers off I haven't seen any in a bit... hope they stay away!!!

Eeeek! Definitely get some spray for those nasty looking suckers!

I actually cut them off as I saw them, and after about 5 I haven't seen them in a few weeks - thank goodness!

What tomatoes? Mine are making an effort and producing tiny green ones
that are dropped off before they ripen.

awe... that's a major bummer....

If they're are like what I have, they're horned caterpillars. Have they devoured your tomato plants? They'll take over. I pull them off and stomp on them. Not even the birds like them! Be ever vigilant, checking every day.

yeah they did some damage... but I keep looking for them now that I know they exist!

eiw! Glad it's not me...

Sometimes you can't see them in the green foliage, but look for rather large droppings on the ground as a sign they are there.

exactly!

Those green critters will "worm" your way into your tomatoes. You might want to visit the nursery for a "safe" spray to get rid of them.

yikes... I do not liek! Thanks for the suggestion!
