Hayduke just asked me about Kraymer, and I have been thinking lately that I have nothing positive to say, so I figure why not write about the boy...
Kraymer has cost me a bit over $1500 this year I think. He had his neck surgery back in march for what I was told was a lymph node issue only to have it be fatty tissue... that was a good $1k (prolly more with the emergency vet and stuff but I don't want to think about it) adventure for me and the boy.
Recently we changed his food from Canidae to California Natural since Canidae switched to Diamond manufacturing (who was involved with the whole recall business). His ears are now AWFUL and full of yeast (the reason he was on Canidae to begin with). I took him to the vet initially because no matter how much I cleaned his ears (once a day) they were awful. The vet did a culture and cleaned them out, and $250 later I was out the door. Then he had bloody clumps on the ends of his ears from shaking his head so much so I called the vet again, they gave him a lot more meds and some other crap that ended up costing me $300.
Currently his ears are still kinda cruddy but not nearly as bad as they were a few weeks ago.
Other than the ears, Kraymer is a happy puppy who enjoys seeing how far across he can reach horizontally on the new king size bed. He can almost make it the whole way!!!
Happy Thursday people!
