So our AC went on Thursday evening. It was kinda funny cuz I was in bed and R wasn't yet so I texted him asking him to turn up the AC. He replied via text that he had already cuz he was warm. I said no air was being delivered so perhaps it was broken, not thinking it actually was. Well, it was and is.

So the townhouse we're renting is apparently very complicated. The lady who actually owns it is overseas in the military so she has a real estate agent who acts as landlord. Well the landlord has little power I have learned!

We had one window unit from the last time we lost AC at the condo so we put it to use in the bedroom so at least, in this 95 degree weather, we had relief while sleeping. Yesterday morning I was pissed at the lack of progress being made at getting us some AC. The landlord was waiting to hear the ok from the owner and we had someone come out and give us a quote but of course that couldn't be acted upon... Anywho! I was mad and HOT! I emailed the landlord, subject line "We're HOT!" and said we needed some relief. Well he offered up a hotel room deducted from the rent. I thought that was grand, but I wanted to stay home with the dogs and just have another window unit deducted from the rent so we could actually sit on the couch and not wither away from heat. Wish granted. YAY! But this is the funny part:



R put that in. Isn't it the funniest thing??? Makes me laugh... yes, it works, but it looks SOOO GHETTO! haha Such is my life.
