So I'll start with last Thursday...
R walked downstairs with a wrapped birthday present and told me that I could open it whenever I wanted. I waited approximately one moment before I ripped into it. It was an ipad! I love it! I have been drooling over them and I am so excited to have one of my own! Happy day. Oddly enough shortly after I started playing with it I thought - things are really looking great right now!
That's when the annoyance started... Our acting landlord called R and said that our actual landlord wants to sell the house we are living in. Annoying. BUT it's also ok - we had a 6 month lease and Oct. 10th that lease is up so, it's all ok in that respect.
We decided that we were going to look at some houses on Saturday before we went to some wineries. We hadn't planned on that of course, it was going to be a nice relaxing day, but it turned into a beast of it's own...
So we found a few houses that are possible. I am not overly excited about any of them, but that's just the way it is. We decided we'll look for our near perfect house when we move to WI. The rest of Saturday was good - busy but good. We hit a few new wineries so that was great.
Sunday was my b-day. I was very excited for a day of gambling, watching football, and having some beer. Welp, apparently in WV there is no alcohol before one pm on Sundays. Ok fine. We went to watch the Packers play at one in one of the bars and we were told they don't get all the games. What????? Seriously???? Then we ended up losing consistently... It was fun overall and I did catch glimpses of the game so all in all it was ok. But yeah, just an ok bday day. I think next year I will surround myself with friends. That always makes it better!
So today R called me at 3:22 pm and said someone was coming to look at the house at 3:30. I had 8 minutes to prep. Hmmm So I grabbed the dogs and went into the garage and played on my ipad. After those people left we all went about our lives (the dogs and I) when all of a sudden the dogs are barking like crazy and I hear a "WHOOPS!" and the front door slam. Apparently a realtor was waking in and the dogs almost got out. I was FIRED up. FIRED UP!
I ended up asking SB for her exemplary editing skills to tone down my irate letter to the landlord. I was so ticked off to get 8 minutes followed by nothing but a man walking into the house unannounced. I think I got my point across... I think it's just so frustrating to not get any notice about this. We would have moved out before all this showing crapola. I had enough of this 8 months ago when we were selling the condo, ya know?
Anywho - this is a novel so I shall cease! Happy Monday evening peeps...
