Mind Full of Romantic Thoughts

lol I really am like a teenager right now! I can't get him out of my mind, nor do I want to. I'm thinking of how I can plan a romantic birthday surprise for him since his birthday is in about three weeks. I have some ideas but I just have to think of the details and a back-up plan if it rains. He's such a romantic himself and he actually appreciates little romantic things done for him. This is all so new to me and so cool. I really didn't think their were any guys out there like this...

I'm thinking of a ride to a semi secluded spot on the river bank where there are flat rock ledges where we can get out and sit on a blanket. I envision a picnic of wine, strawberries, cheese and ....ok...I'm stuck there.

I made him a beautiful collage tonight that came out really well. I have to get it laminated or find a frame for it. I want to also get him a sentimental gift of some sort. I know the sort of things he likes and collects so I plan to browse and wait for that item that jumps out at me.

I like it! Nah, I don't...I love it!!! A little music, but not to play too loudly...you don't want to take away from the sounds of what is around you. If he likes chocolate, you should tuck some in that picnic basket. Don't forget a tiny little vase with a flower or two...or one to pin to his shirt or just to let him hold. OMG, this is sooooooo romantic!

I feel that I can hear the excitement in your voice as I read through this. I am so happy!

I know exactly how you feel. When my husband called me today at lunchtime, he let me know he was taking tomorrow off work, now giving us a (4) day weekend (no kids this weekend-at their Dad's)together. I was so excited and giddy as if we just fell in love recently. We've been married almost 9 years. Hope the feeling lasts forever.

Add a little chocolate to that or even those decadent chocolate covered strawberries! Those are great. Music, you need music. Something that will be "your song".

Oh that sounds so wonderful! And let me just say....what is wrong with stopping the actual PLANS at: "I envision a picnic of wine, strawberries, cheese and....." let the rest of the chips fall where they may!
Don't apologize for the way you feel. Enjoy it, treasure it, and then go wipe that silly grin off your face....of wait, it won't come off! I know...been there, done that...no, been there, DOING that myself. It is hard to believe there are people out there like them.....I know I still marvel at the man the Slick one is....I don't know what on earth I've done to deserve a man like him! I am truly blessed. And it sounds as if you are too!! HUGS!!
