Ironically we've called each other's e-mails "Christmas gifts" since the beginning (like the 12 days of Christmas). Now I count and he's written me twelve poems in the month of May. I also wrote him the poem "A Perfect Dozen".
If I were into numerology, I'd say the number twelve means something here!
But what I'm really into is...him. Every day my feelings grow and some days it grows leaps and bounds. Today was one of those days. I was having a bad day and he made me laugh. So did his son. Yes, I met his kids today! They're really awesome. I definitely like them both already. They are just really great kids- just like their Dad. And they are both so beautiful! I had so much fun in the couple hours I hung out with them tonight. It made me forget the stinky day I'd had and previously dwelled on. I simply cannot wait until my kids meet him and his kids! I am just so thankful and have been praying and praising God constantly.
I had made him a collage and book mark which I brought to him today. He loved them as I knew he would. But he once again had a bigger surprise for me. He made me a beautiful, red book of all of the poems he's written for me on the most beautiful papers fitting the poems. On the cover of the book, there is an angel sitting in the grass with flowers and it says: "Upon Angels Wings" Poems Inspired By And Dedicated To Gwen.
I'm am so happy and able to forget the nastiness I felt earlier in the day. I'll even forget the major cramps I am feeling with the raging PMS. I have at least five things to be thankful for in exchange with each worry or complaint I have.
