I Do Not Have Time for This!

Last night I went to cook dinner and the oven would not come on. It's a gas stove. Hubby, being the gas expert, checked it out. A part was broken and it might be almost as cheap to buy a new one! Well in looking through the classifieds I found someone locally who is selling a gas stove. They are moving out of state. They only want $175 and its 9 years old but in great condition. Hubby said to take the money out today and we will go check it out tonight to see how great it is. This morning I go online to check our bank account and it says we have $13 left! NO WAY! I check our statement. I see several charges that were taken out twice, to the tune of over $400!!! I will be marching myself into the bank and asking them what the hell they are doing!

Today I wanted to get some cleaning done, laundry need to be done, rooms rearranged. I really do not need this headache! Our bank is a credit union and we have never had problems there for as long as we have had our account there. I think they need to pay me pain and suffering for the heart attack I almost had. I keep in mind what we have spent and what we have left and I knew we were supposed to have more than thirteen dollars! The double charges are one day apart so I know they have screwed up.

We had some fierce storms last night so I am operating on not much sleep at all. It won't be a pretty sight going into that bank and demanding to know what they are doing with my money!

still operating without a stove, but the burners work and I have a huge crockpot so we are good in that respect. got the bank sorted too. I still feel like i take one step forward and 10 back.

I would have had a heart attack, too! At least you didn't go shopping somewhere and get an Insufficient Funds. I've had that happen and it's the most humiliating experience.

hah, that happened yesterday. went to buy a few things at the convenience store. turns out some things were held up for payment and came through all at once. that is partly my fault for not keeping better track of things. we go to this store all the time and the manager who rang us up said she would pay for our milk, that was the necessity. almost made me cry.

I have just been through a forgery with a police report and all that entails
so I can understand. I found out that the lovely girl who was helping me
had a husband who was over medicated in the hospital and now he is mentally
and physically compromised. She is taking her husband home from the
nursing home and will have to take him to adult day care before she goes
to work at the bank and she has two young boys. So, there are worse
problems.

the same thing happened to my mom earlier this year. it took years off of her life and she is not very aware of who we are. it is a heartbreaking situation. my thoughts and prayers go out to your friend.

Glad you got the banking sorted and hope they give you back your money before that gas stove gets sold.

we didn't get the gas stove but hubby can get one from his job for almost nothing. one of the benefits of working for a propane company.

I am so sorry to hear about the trouble with the stove and the bankg. That sounds totally frustrating. Ray and I have had similar things happen. It usually sorts out, but it is still irksome!

sometimes I just want to throw my hands up in the air and just give up! things will go good for a while and then BAM something happens. I know you know what I am talking about, it's been that way for you and ray too.

went to the bank, something was wrong with their debit card company. lots of people had double payments on things. i was assured the money would be back in my account by tonight. that doesn't do me any good as far as buying a new stove today!

So lucky you noticed it before the account was overdrawn because even though it's their fault for the double debits, they would jump on your withdrawal that caused the overdraft and insist on keeping the overdraft fees and other charges.

problem with the debit card company. she said any checks or other payments that come through will be paid, no fees. i really hate banks!

Dang that sucks... I am hoping the credit union gives you your money back immediately!!!
