Some Pictures Taken Today

these are some small gulleys in the construction site right behind our house.

the back of our house, no damage to the roof!

of course Kota had to test the mud out back!

oh the devastation! it completely uprooted this poor mushroom!

our pool overflowed and turned green. But it is still standing!

I was really worried about this tree. It is right in the power lines going to our house. But it's still there as well.

Hubby was worried about this tree going down. I think it has been hit by lightning before. He parks his work truck just ahead of my car in the dirt driveway. He moved his truck to the back lot.

that poor mushroom! there were 3 of them till Irene hit. I guess I have no reason not to clean my house now, all the excitement is over.

that is for sure! he went in the pool last night, we had to let some of the excess water out so he decided to just get in. that water was freezing!

i was a bundle of nerves saturday. had to put towels in some windows where the wind was pushing the water in.

Don't let that poor mushroom die in vain. Make soup.

kota didn't really want his pic taken but I had to do it! I didn't see any damage up and down my street, which is good. we were very lucky. so many lost power, even our friends 2 streets over from us.

is it over for you there or are you still getting the rain? it was such a massive storm, I thought the rain would never stop! it lasted over 24 hours! glad you are both safe with little damage!

Things look pretty good, with the exception of the poor mushroom.
comment by redimpala on Aug 28, 2011 1:13 PM ()
I just thought that was so funny seeing the mushroom uprooted. there was damage in alot of people's yards with trees down and a tornado even did damage to a house further south.
