You might be a redneck if.....
You look out your back door, see your neighbor and open the door and you are yelling back and forth at each other. LOL Here's what happened. Around 7:30 I was reading blogs when ZAP the power went out. So I went to the back door to look out, not sure what I expected to see. Saw my neighbor in her sun room looking out the window. We were yelling back and forth, is your power out? yep, wonder what happened? don't know, think I will call the electric company. lol
I reported the outage and went back out to yell at the neighbor, she was still in her jammies. She yelled out, hold on I have to get dressed. So we sat on her steps talking until the electric came back on. Not sure why it went out, probably an accident somewhere. As its a beautiful sun shiney day! going to be 80 degrees! Guess I will actually wear shorts today. I sent kota to school in his new camo shorts, he was so happy. He loves being able to wear shorts, and then come home and go barefoot.
Hubby came home and cut the front yard, took him a half hour. Now let me explain. We have a push mower and the house sits on an acre of ground. It would normally take about 3 hours to cut the whole yard, so to cut the whole front half in that short of time is amazing. But thats the new mower, the big self propelled jobby. Bad thing is, the cut grass has kicked my allergies into super high gear! I took my claritin though and am already breathing.
I am getting my chores done now so I can sit outside later and just read my book. I still have to run to the bank, get cat food and stuff and pick up wine to take to moms tonight.

Yelling over to your neighbor is half the fun of having a neighbor! It's hard when the electricity is out. Can't do anything. Allergy season is definitely here. I have attacks all the time now.
