A day off! You did just exactly what you should have done.....and that is: exactly what you wanted to do! Reminds me of my mom, when she would call me on my birthday and ask what I was going to do. If I said something like "I'm going to get the kitchen floor scrubbed" she couldn't believe it..."It's your BIRTHDAY!!" she'd say. "You should do something you want to do!" to which I would reply "I really WANT to scrub the kitchen floor!"

Thats so great that Kota is happy. He must be very comfortable now away from those bullys... another sign that homeschooling will probably be a lifesaver for him.

Bake some cookies or something sweet to take with you on friday, tell you why, kids work almost 10 times as hard when they go for they're belts. I've seen so many parents say 'omg i've never seen him/her work so hard'. The feeling of a grading and 'putting your knowledge' on the line is very stressful, some have even been sick with worry. We offer them a cup of tea or something sweet after the grading to help with the shock whether they pass or not. You'll see the instructor come over after each grading to make sure the grader is ok etc, they'll explain how things will change now since they have graded, basically to calm them down. I'm still thinking of kota, wish him all the best from me
