Today, I was sorting through old photo albums to find some
to display in a photo holder that held ten pictures. Luckily,
I could rule out those that didn't fit but still it was
difficult.
I selected a picture of Ted and I taken right after we bought our lake house in l989.
A picture of Muffin, the best dog in all the world except for Rex who is a close second.
A picture of Ted on the deck of a cruise ship.
A picture of Linda, holding fat baby Sara in her arms. Linda so beautiful and care free.
A picture of Bobby and his girls in an affectionate moment.
A picture of Golden Spin, a horse who had broken down at the
race track and was foisted on me in my third divorce. Golden and I were very attached to each other and the picture shows him peering in the house with his nose against
the patio door in a "Mama, won't you come out and play"
pose.
A picture of me that shows the resemblance that Linda and I
have to each other. It is hard to see because she is so
brunette and I am blonde with green eyes. It is very evident in this one picture. Sara is the only grandchild
that resembles me when I was young.
A picture of Ted's mother holding her first Great Grandchild. That Grandchild has twin daughters and lives
on a ranch in Colorado now.
A picture of Adrienne, Thomas and Jane climbing a tree
at our second family reunion. Thomas and Adrienne were
besotted with each other at the time. He still is but now
she thinks he is creepy. Our tastes do change!
A picture of our second anniversary celebration. Who knew
that the 28th would soon be coming up!
It was fun to assemble and we keep looking at it, marveling
at the memories it evoked.
On another note, I was so proud of Joe Biden last night.
I found Ryan snarky and obnoxious. Watch out, if Romney
is elected he will get us in another war we can't win, and
I think we have found out that in a trickle down approach
to the economy that it never trickles down.
