Ice Cream

No ice cream has ever tasted as good as that made in an
old fashioned ice cream freezer turned by hand and then
packed to harden. Probably because we had pure heavy cream
to make it with.

Now there are three brands that have exotic flavors. Braums ice cream our own home town brand wars with Blue Bell
and Baskin Robbins. The story of Braum's ice cream is one
of complete self sufficiency. Their dairy farm covers l5
square miles. They raise their own food and keep it uniform
all year round for their dairy cows. The cows are kept in
clean comfortable pens that they can move around in. The
processing takes place on the farm and they even make their
own containers there. They do not distribute more than
300 miles away from the plant for maximum freshness.

Ted's favorite flavor, Cherry pecans and cream is very
good and peppered with cherries. I love Dulce de Leche for
the caramel strips in it but new flavors pop up all the
time. Currently, I am eating blackberry almond and cream
in the frozen yogurt.

I was surprised to find that vanilla is preferred by the majority with chocolate second, strawberry third and
butter pecan fourth.

I love to bake but since Ted must have ice cream for dessert
I don't make many pies or cakes. My grankids love it too.
Ashley topped dinner off with three bowls of blackberry
almonds and cream.

Love ice cream- it hates me. The aftermath of eating ice cream is one of the very few times that I am glad to live by myself.

Probably you and I are just a few of the many fans of Braums. They have
some stores in Arkansas too. Ted has new medicine and we hope he will be
pain free soon.

Nothing like some good ice cream to soothe the soul.

Yes, it satisfies all cravings.

Braum's, in my opinion, beats all other ice cream stores hands down. I just came from there with two three-pint tubs of Butter Pecan and Cookies and Cream, not to mention two twist waffle cones and some milk. My family LOVES Braum's. My regards to Ted and Rex.

You just had to go and mention the egg nog ice cream. Now, I'm anxious for Christmas to return.

isn't it fortunate that we live so close to Brauns!! I try to stick to
frozen yogurt but my absolute favorite is rum raisin which they hardly ever
have. Their eggnog at Christmas is wonderful too.

We always made French Vanilla or banana in our old ice cream freezer. I
think we cooked it just a few minutes because of the raw eggs.

Ice cream is great but frozen yogurt dispensed, not packaged, is also sublime and I think of it as healthier. Can't get it around here, though. I buy ice cream for Ed all the time and have none for myself. I did buy a key lime with nuts ice cream in a sugar cone when I was with my guests. I had lost that 3 lbs. and felt I could do this. Now, back to my monastic habits.

I love frozen yogurt from Braums. Aldi's makes a key lime regular yogurt and it is good.

I started making my own ice cream a couple summers ago. For Easter I made cinnamon chip. Ohboyohboyohboyohboy! Nothing like ice cream....

I can only imagine how good cinnamon chip ice cream must be. It sounds a
little like the flavor of apple pie.

Oh you are a disgustingly healthy eater! I would kill for rum raisin. Once in a while I can find it at Christmas time.

Ice cream is one of my weaknesses, as many can tell with my big caboose. One of the local grocery stores has a brand of Butter Pecan that I cannot live without.

We always lay in a big supply. It is a major vice with us.

Wow. Now I am really craving some ice cream. I love vanilla and butter pecan!

Butter pecan is one of my favorites. I like pralines and cream from
Baskin Robbins too.

French Vanilla. Yum.

It is richer and better than plain vanilla.

Yummy post! My mouth is watering. Now that I resigned from the Lions Club, I no longer have access to our machine's "free" ice cream. Time to go searching.

I like the soft ice cream from machines too. A lot of buffets here have it
too.
