The Good and the Bad and the Hussy

Bobby's pet scan showed that his cancer has not spread and
he is going to have surgery on the l6th. The surgeon was
iffy about Chemo but no radiation. We are so relieved and
thank you my friends for the candles you lit and the prayers
you sent our way. Don't stop just yet.

Adrienne is sporting a sterling silver chain with an A on it,
her Christmas gift from Dakota. She told me she was going
to break up with him after Valentine's day and her birthday.
The mercenary little hussy! I get such a kick out of the
girls and their nonsense.

I just read Cold Comfort Farm and it was hilarious. The book
was so much funnier than the movie. I highly recommend it
for the winter doldrums. What winter? It was 66 here
yesterday and I am loving every bit of it. Sorry about the
cold in Florida and whatever crops were lost.

Good grief! I read this too but do not see a comment. I was happy to read about Bobby. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Ted- you, all of you.

Relieved to hear Bobby is in a better place now and getting the treatment he needs. As for Adrienne, I would have been tempted to counsel her not to be so greedy. Did you think of maybe doing that and decide not to?

Wonderful news to go forward on. I think it will be very good if it encourages Bobby to go into the surgery with some hope and optimism.

"Cold Comfort Farm" has been a staple of my permanent library for as long as i can remember! I was unaware there was a movie. Movies can never hold a candle to the books, but sometimes they prompt someone to read the book, for which I am thankful!

The movie was good but I didn't get the full flavor of the Grandmother who
saw something narsty in the woodshed when she was three! We know a woman
who supposedly became mentally ill when she saw something too nasty to reveal
so Ted and I had a good laugh over this.

I never threw up one time from my chemo. I would have a couple of days feeling a bit nauseous; but the anti-nauseous medications they have now are wonderful.

We are looking at the chemo as insurance and his Primary care doctor wants
him to have it. I think they put something in it to make it easier now.

So thankful Bobby's pet scan was positive. The chemo he can tolerate; it's that radiation that is a nightmare. A sounds like a typical teenage girl.

He should make a full recovery. Colon cancer is very treatable when caught before it has spread.

A burden has certainly been lifted. It won't be easy for him but I was so
fearful and he was so pessimistic.

I'm relieved to learn Bobby's cancer has not spread. Candles continue to burn! I do hope he will have some chemo, too. It is real long-term insurance against a recurrence. Blessings to you all, dear Jeri.

Thank you Marta. We will sure be happy to have it over with and I am hoping
for the chemo as insurance although he dreads losing his hair..

Good news, indeed! And near 60 here, too! Loving it.
