My morning routine starts with coffee, the blog and a walk
as soon before seven a.m. as I can, before the heat over
takes me. I always enjoy my walk and the funniest thing
that I have seen concerns a very clever dog. About seven
a.m., he ruturns from his night of freedom and jumps back
into his own back yard. This happens every morning and I
believe his owners are unaware of his trick. He is large but
very agile and to see him teeter on the chain link fence before he returns home is a sight to see.
I see the same people every day. One woman has a pair of
little dogs and she dresses the girl dog in little hot pink
dresses. We always chat a minute. One neighbor lives
a few houses from me and has a long white beard and long
white hair and is possibly the fittest man that I see. He is
quite handsome and usually jogs in a black out fit. We wave in passing. I see him a long way from home. This
morning he was weaaring a knit cap a la Nittenneedles and
I couldn't imagine why. Then there is a couple who have
two Golden Retrievers. Two is one too many. They
struggle with them every morning but the struggle is so
exhausting that they don't go far. One of the dog walkers
never fails to exercise her large dog of uncertain parentage.
I like her, she is very nice.
When I get home I have to water, always longing for my
second cup of coffee. There wouldn't be a green spot in
my yard if I didn't. Ted is a late riser so he needs breakfast
after I finish. I keep water out for the birds and lots of
them inhabit my yard. I love to watch them drink and
bathe.
