Exciting Projects

I am redoing the kitchen and utility room floors with black
and white checkerboard tile and then we are having the guest
bathroom floor tiled and the countertop is going to have new
sinks and tile. I have chosen sage green and a coordinating
top. It should bring it into the twenty first century. I have ordered the tile and found the worker and all I have to
do now is take up the laminate floor. It shouldn't be hard
because it is tongue and groove. And pay for it of course
which is hard but cheaper than a good vacation.

It is cold and rainy today so I am going to have to walk on
the treadmill. I enjoy being outside a lot more. Especially
now because everyone has spring fever and they are doing
different things to their yards.

I am thrilled for Kristy because she is making all her dreams
come true. The house, the land and the dogs. The next thing
we know she will have animals everywhere.

Go for it, girl!!

You must post pix when you're done. Get a techie to help. Years ago I tried to finish a half-laid floor in the loft because Jay couldn't do it anymore and had a nurse's aide all the time. I and the aide worked on it one day and I spent the next day in bed.

Both indoor and outdoor "doin's" sound great. Enjoy!

Very exciting, indeed! I'm thinking of getting new linoleum at the rental cabin next door this summer, but deep in my heart, I would love to call the handyman and get a new kitchen sink and counter tops in my own kitchen.

They now have a ceramic tile that looks exactly like slate. My sil got it
and it totally fooled me.

what is the theme of your interior decorator there.

Jeri, inc. The master of the house isn't too pleased and the mess will be
beyond horrible but it should be over in a week. The tile guy is going
to a motorcycle rally in Texas so we have to move fast.

I am not as adept at it as you guys. I am going for the French country
look in the kitchen.

HAHA Yes, that is the plan...
As I was reading this I was wondering - how do you know so much about remodeling? From doing it before? We will be doing our fair share of it. I wish you could take pictures --- before and after shots would be cool!

Yes, Ted and I used to flip houses and we have done about everything. The
tile guy we found is great. He is going to virtually remodel my bathroom.
It is hard for Ted to let someone else do the things he used to be able to
do.
