Distress

Ted in spite of all the medicine and drugs just gets weaker
by the day. I didn't realize how weak he was until last
night. He mowed one swath in the back yard and had to come
in. I went out and was surprised at how easy it was with
the electric lawn mower. I finished it but it makes him
feel so ashamed that I am going to interview a lawn service
today. I would prefer to do it myself, I could use the
exercise and I actually enjoyed it.

We have booked a cruise on Oceania's Marina. It will start
in Athens and end in Rome. It is a dream come true for
Ted and I certainly want him to enjoy it and see everything
we can. It is not until November. I have been to Spain
and Morroco twice and it is my favorite trip. I love the
lifestyle but he wasn't interesterd so I let him choose. I
just hope we can get the pain regulated. He is going to
a pain management seminar.

It is so sad when your companion and best friend is ill.

Both sad and happy news. Let's hope Ted is well enough to enjoy the cruise.

Is there a name for what is causing Ted's pain? I'm so sorry he is not getting better.

I do think that it is time to get someone mowed the lawn.
Ted should not be doing this at all.We have someone here to the work for us.I cannot mow anymore and do not want to.
It is worth the money to have someone to do this.
Ted needs to rest up.
If he get bored, take him out for a walk and enjoy the nature out there.
Sorry,to hear that the medication is not working.
What happens if he dumped them.Just a thought.

I have had that thought myself. Medicine can kill you. About all he is
up to right now is enjoying nature from the back porch.

I worry about Ted too. Genetics has so much to do with determining our life span. I attended a pain management seminar once and it helped after I injured my back. Chronic pain is difficult to manage because so many people don't want to rely on 'pills'. It took me forever to understand and come to terms with the pain cycle and take the painkillers. Pain makes muscles contract, which causes more pain, which makes the muscles contract even more.... I took them for years but do not need to anymore. I broke the cycle and my body healed.

His Mom had early alzheimers and that is a worry. I am willing for him to
do anything. Acupuncture, meditation or anything. He has one of those
things that hang you upside down but I can't tell any difference.
