Pix Smarts and Another Memory

Nadine, my gtf, came over this afternoon and gave me a tutorial on loading my pix into the computer from my new digital camera that Edward bought me. It's a Nikon and very nice.

Meanwhile, she also walked me through reducing pixels because so many times the MyBloggers program says the file is too large.

Anyway, one of those previously too large photos I hereby post.

This is Jay, circa 1920, he is maybe 10, with his dog, on a dusty road in Oregon. I have always loved this photo. He told me he worked all summer picking berries to buy those boots.

More pioneering spirit you don't get than what is shown in the photo of this rural boy, who later became a renaissance intellect and ultimately lost himself through illness.

xx, Teal

Neat. Wish I could learn to do what you have now mastered.

Great picture, so boys really did wear caps and boots like the old films show them all doing. This reminds me of a movie from the 30s that had Jascha Heifetz in it, but it was in the city instead of a dusty Oregon. But the short pants, long socks -- those look the same.

It was another world. My historical references were expanded during our marriage and sometimes I feel like a really old soul. Thanks for stopping by.

I would have appreciated growing up as a silver spoon child and I think
Jay would have been appreciative too. He reminds me of the Buster Brown
pictures on the shoes of long ago.

Congrats on mastering the photo resizing, it's the key to posting pictures on MyBloggers. Wonderful picture of Jay and his dog, hope we'll see more photos from you.

What a great photo. I hope he didn't grow out of those boots too fast.

Good girl there and loved the picture.I have a Nikon and it is great.
You can set the size on your camera.Once you get the hang of it you will be fine and become a professional.
Enjoy the new camera.
