Just to let you all know (what few of you are left in mybloggersland), I'm going "off the air" for a week.

Tomorrow (Fri) morning, I'm headed to the Michigan U.P. Never been up there--Pictured Rocks and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshores will be two of several stops.

On my first day, I will spend most of my time still in Indiana, going to a library (Auburn) and cemetery to research and look up my great great grandfather. Nobody seems to know when he died (after 1900 sometime). Big mystery.
Then I'll mosey on up a little further to Wild Winds Buffalo Preserve. Need to get my fix on some bison. (I bet this heat is hard on them.)

I plan to do a mix of camping and moteling, just playing it all by ear--general itinerary. Sight seeing and hiking is my reasoning behind all this. No one to see. Just getting away for awhile. Might pick some blueberries on my way home down the Lake Michigan coast.
