Will This Ever End?

Well, if you happened to watch ABC's nightly news last night (Sat), we made the national spotlight!!! (David Muir)
There I was, talking about "mother nature" for the whole world to see. Shock of shocks.

I guess that took the story from the Indy ABC affiliate and ran it nationally. They must have been desparate for news.

I wasn't pre-informed--just happened to be watching it.
Still, no phone calls afterwards. Probably no one I know was watching the news.

This has been one wild ride!

That is part of why I refused interviews when the house next door burned down. Did not want to see myself on TV!

Yes, news agencies share stories. Just read the credits for articles and photo credits! Associated Press, Reuters, CNN, etc.

It's quickly becoming "history". I'm wondering, however, if there'll be any follow-up interest. Probably not. As of now, I'm not sure what the plans are.

How strange that must have been-to see yourself on the news with no warning. Did you sign a release when you were interviewed? That must cover any usage any where any time. You may be on YouTube next.

The fact that I was never contacted by ABC for permission worried me a little. My name was never mentioned. Was that their "out"? I have yet to hear from any family or friends. I suppose nobody watches the news anymore.

Believe it or not, moving a house like that happen rarely and when it does, it is news. And, unfortunately, how often does a house get stuck in the mud? It's news! I am grateful for real-people news like this, and so is the network, believe me. Anything that isn't related to politics or Whitney Houston is like a breath of fresh air right now! I watch NBC News, so I'm going to check it out on the ABC News website. Be sure and alert the media when you try to move it again. Inquiring minds want to know!

Darn! I wish I had known it was going to be on the news, I would have watched it. I'll check ABC internet news to see if it happens to be there.

My SIL feels mortified. Plus, he's angry with me for "exposing" the story in the first place. Of course, I had no idea it would get out of hand.
