The choices in life
The ones we make
Emotions we show
Real or fake.
Our lives
The way we live
We take
And we give.
Open our hearts
To those we care
Getting hurt
But still willing to share.
The world
It will still turn
But apparent
Lesson we never learn.
Still we go on
Day after day
We work
And we play.
Turn the page
Of our book
Never finding
But continuing to look.
Stare at the sky
Off into space
Maybe another time
Another place
Always moving
Never standing still
Taking in life
Never getting our fill.
One day though
We try to pretend
The life we're leading
Will come to an end.
Gathering
Looking for words to say
Not wanting to say goodbye
See you again..someday
