Tranquil is the water
With no stone upon it tossed
A soul that has been found
Will no more wander lost.
We look to the heavens above
Gaze into the blue sky
For a moment wishing to take flight
Stretch our wings and fly.
We walk through the forest
Shaded by the towering trees.
Or to lay in a sunny meadow
Enjoying a light summer breeze.
To walk along the beach
On cold, damp day
Watching the clouds
Roll in, cold and gray.
A quiet winter morning
Without worry or care
Snowflakes slowly fall to earth
As if they are dancing on air.
I am unsure about heaven
Where it is or what it is about
But here is the joys I have found
Of that I have no doubt.
