Judy Garland singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", Clark Gable uttering "Frankly Scarlett I don't give a damn". I enjoy watching a good old movie, but I also appreciated newer ones like "On Golden Pond". The on-screen chemistry between Fonda and Hepburn was magic, a great actor will make a movie timeless.
Not big on Mexican, not my thing. Now if you're talking seafood then that'll be right up my alley
Martin you've been down south too long, you need to experience a northern winter
With the meds I take for my issues it has dulled my creativity somewhat, which doesn't make me too happy.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you Larry.
We all have a story, something that makes us different from each other. I guess that's why I enjoy talking to people, being able to find that story. My dad was a WW2 vet, and I know his time in the military was something that he took great pride in.
This story reminded me of my dad, who passed away 3 years ago this month. Dad realized that his time was coming to an end, and for the most part he welcomed it. But dad went the way he wanted, no nursing home or long hospital stay. One day he fell to the floor of the house him and my mother had shared over 60 years and that was it. Thanks for the story, it was wonderful.
We are suppose to see a storm here sometime tomorrow afternoon going into Tuesday morning. The weather people are also saying that the wind chill will be brutal.
I remember when it was a time that I couldn't write, it was a bleak and dark time in my life.
Well as blunt as your doctor was he did have a point, you have packed a lot of living into your years here. And now with a little moderation you will be able to give us the pleasure of your company for quite a few more.
One has to wonder why this country is in the position that it is in, everything is "farmed out" in the interest of the bottom line. You have to wonder whether these companies are interested in helping or hurting us.
Glad to hear it was nothing lingering, but it probably didn't feel that way.
It sounds like a great place to gather, I would probably have enjoyed it as far as being inspired by the scenery. I am glad you shared this with us.
You can always take away something from everyone you come in contact with, and I am a firm believer in this. I have found as a writer that everybody has a story to tell, some are more interesting then others..but still interesting.
Jayden, sounds like you had a blast. The pieces in your life sound like they are falling into place, and that is a wonderful place in which to be. Take care of yourself and good luck with Barcerlona.
