Can You Die If You Don't Get Your Coffee Fix?

I have the same thing for breakfast everyday - One mug of coffee with one teaspoon of creamer one teaspoon of sugar free cocoa and one teaspoon of Splenda.  Oh and a cigarette.  This is called a New York Breakfast.  I know, not healthy at all but to everyone about to lecture me on the smoking let me tell you now, I just set my quit date.  Sept 9th.  It's hard to quit in the summer so I am waiting till Fall right before the grandbaby comes so I can be focused on him and not my withdrawals.  I have 1 year to do it.  I don't want to be a smoker when I'm 40.

Okay I got off track here.  I was about to tell you about my coffee this morning.  I make the same thing every day but for some reason today my coffee taste like shit!  I can't drink it at all which means I will be getting the caffeine headache any minute now.

On my last post I was in a hurry and didn't get to tell you the fun lesbian drama that went on camping.  Although I have a tendency to not notice drama when it's happening all around me, I do hear about it later.  As I said, my ex came camping with us.  He also invited his girlfriend up and she showed for the last night.  She is a nice girl but maybe a little young for him but I do like her and we got along good.  Well, of course everyone was partying it up and we broke out a bottle of tequila which she and I were sharing.  She proceeded to tell me that although she liked my ex a lot, they both knew that the relationship was not going to last because she wanted kids and he did not.  So that came as a shock to me but the BIG kicker was when she was in the tent with my friend making out!  There is a lesbian saying that goes "If you want to make out with a straight girl, just add tequila"

So anyway, I'm glad she told me first that her and my ex were not planning to be together long because if he had to loose another girl to a girl, it would totally mess with him I'm sure.

Now to another random thought in my head..... (need coffee)

When I was a teenager, I had perfect skin.  All my friends were jealous of the fact that I NEVER got pimples or blemishes.  Just smooth flawless skin.

Then I turned 30 and BAM!!! I hit puberty or something cause now once a month when Unice comes to visit, I get a zit.  Usually it's the same one on my chin and I name it after my girlfriend but this month, it is right at the corner of my mouth and it HURTS like hell.  Not to mention, it's a big one and I know when people are looking at me all they can see is this BIG ZIT looking back at them.  I'm sure any minute now, it's going to start talking.  "hey - how you doin?"

How you doin?

I am not going to lecture you about the cigarette. Maybe about ruining a good cup of coffee with sugar, but not a cigarette. Good for you for setting your quit date. Maybe you'll inspire me to kick the habit.
I'm glad that chicka decided to tell you that the thing wasn't a long term relationship between her and your ex. It probably would have been a blow for him to find that out. I can't imagine the nerve of making out with anyone--chick or no chick--with my boyfriend around.

The whole post was enjoyable. Glad you're quitting smoking.

No lectures from me....I need to quit, too. I hate it. I just don't want to actually, you know, kill someone.Love the tequila story... we used to call it "pantie remover"...worked like a charm.

I quite 28 years ago. I was a confirmed smoker, to say the least. I did it by smoking one less cigarette a day until I got down to 4 and then when I finished that pack, I said, what the heck and never went back. You have to do it when you are ready and not sooner!

Good luck with the smoking thing... when the time is right, it will happen. It too me awhile to work up to it also, so I know how it is!
