It's been a crazy week.Â
I have been hosting many basketball parties at my house to watch the playoff's. Utah played last night against the Lakers and lost. It was a close game and I am certain the ref's were getting blow jobs after the game from the Laker fans or Kobe himself. Some of the calls were just plain stupid and for the good of the Lakers.Â
My wish would be to have basketball playoffs like football. One game on neutral ground. Winner takes it. Not this 7 games with one team getting home court advantage... blah.
Did I loose any of you there with all the talk of basketball?Â
I did have a good thing happen Tuesday. I had decided to job hunt because the place I work at hired me on as a temporary employee for one year. NO benefits, No vacation, no sick time. I thought I could deal with a year without insurance but I didn't realize a year with NO VACATION time would kill me come summer. So I had a really good position lined up for an interview on Tuesday at 4:00. I made all the arrangements Friday and got the paperwork ready, plus my nice interview outfit picked out. Then Tuesday comes around and I'm about to sneak out early from work to make it to the interview and my boss and the big head honcho come over to my desk and ask to see me in the office. So I go in and they tell me they are hiring me on with all the benefits and VACATION. Sweet!! What's even better is the vacation time is accrued from last January when I started so I already have a week! With one more coming.
My oldest daughter got a job this week also. She will actually be working right across street from me but she works night so we can't car pool. She's trying to get her own place so she can move out of her boyfriends house. I hope she gets one soon so I can stop worrying about her so much.
My son moved to Alaska with his dad this week. It was very hard for me to let him go but since he is 15, it would be expensive to fight in court to force him to stay against his will and then he would just hate me so I let him go. But I made sure all weekend we were connected at the hip. I wanted to get as much of him as I could before he was gone. He will be back the end of June to spend the rest of summer with me. Then I will just save my money for as many plane flights as I can afford.
Next weekend is my birthday and Memorial Day so I will have a 4 day weekend. I had plans to go camping as I do every year but the spot we always go to is still snowed in. We got so much damn snow this summer, even the 80 degree days we are having now isn't enough to melt it fast enough. So I am going to drive up there this weekend and see for myself if there's any possibilities. If not, then I just may pitch my tent in the backyard. I did make a fire pit back there on Mother's Day.Â
Speaking of the fire pit. I have a very large back yard and a great patio so I have tons of BBQ's and friends over during the warm days. So Sunday, I had a Mother's Day BBQ that ended up a JAZZ VS LAKERS BBQ and a Lesbian Sunday BBQ. After the game was over and food was gone, a few of us were still drinking and not wanting to go in decided we could stay outside longer if we had a fire. So we went to the back yard, took out some cinderblocks in the patio and dug a hole. VWALAAA FIRE!!!!Â
I just did a quick scan to check for spelling errors and "BLOW JOBS" jumped out at me. Funny how a curse word can do that even in written form. fuck shit damn.Â
