The trip to San Fran was awesome. It was COLD but we really had a good time. When we got in and checked in we decided to get some food and beverages, it was about 10pm West Coast time. There were lots of bums around which I thought was kinda strange, but it is what it is! I actually started thinking about it though and it made me kinda mad that I felt guilty not giving them money. At one point I said to a beggar that I worked 3 jobs and I still was poor so I wasn’t giving him any money. He just said he wasn’t lucky enough to have one. I felt bad again. Bleh. Anyways!
We saw the sea lions on pier 39. I am telling you that was the highlight of my day! I LOOOOVED it! They were so freakin cute and fun to watch. I loved it. We stayed and watched for some time! Then we walked around and saw some things – oh, and two random people (one looking for a donation for meal on wheels) asked R and I if we were married. I was like seriously? Ah yes, seriously. We ate at a great restaurant called the Stinkin Rose (a garlic – my favorite – restaurant) although I made the mistake of ordering garlic wine. I wouldn’t do that again! Haha After that we went to the Saloon across the street. It was literally called the saloon. I had a blast in there!
We then went up to the lake where T was getting married the next day. We went over to T’s dad’s lake house on Friday night – it was SO great to see T and her future hubby and T’s mom and I finally met her dad. It was just a lot of fun. The wedding was incredible to. T did in fact come in on a jet ski! She looked amazingly gorgeous in her sundress. :0) It was a kick back casual ceremony – the “preacher†guy was reading what he was saying out of an old drink menu holder. It was funny. T and her hubby R made up vows for each other. They were so sweet!!! It was a nice wedding.
The next day R and I slept til 3:30pm. It was lovely. After that we drove back to San Fran and the next morning hopped on a plane to come back to reality. Bleh. And here I am.
The good news about reality is that my cousin in WI got back to me on some property for a possible doggie day care. It was a cute little house sitting on almost 5 acres of land, with a POND, and barns and garages already built on it. It truly would be pretty ideal in terms of location as well, alas we just can’t do it right now. Ah, reality. Such a slap in the face…
Happy Wednesday people!
