From What I Remember

We had a good time last night. haha

Yes, some of it is a blur!

Lots of people showed and MAN my friends from our fave pub are generous souls... One brought us a case of wine! Unreal. Lots of food and spirits surrounded us along with many good friends. It was a lot of fun. I don't remember the ball dropping but I am fairly certain we watched it. :0)

Beer pong was played, as I knew it would be. We had lots of beer so it all worked out. Beer pong is a game played with 12 plastic cups, six on each side. Each cup is filled with beer about halfway, then you throw a ping pong ball and try to land it in the other sides cups of beer. If you do, they have to drink the beer. Whichever side runs out of beer first is the loser. It's fun!

This morning kinda sucked though. A large group of us went out for Pho. I haven't ever eaten Pho before but I have been told by many people that there are a lot of vegetarian options, so I always wanted to try it. Anywho - I ordered some soup and a rice dish. Turns out that the tofu soup I got, listed in the vegetarian section, had pork in it. I ate some of the soup before I noticed the strange shaped object... I asked R to try it, so he did, and he assured me it wasn't meat. Then I got more out of my soup and asked other people to try it. They assured me it was PORK! I wasn't phased for some reason, by my friend L was pissed. She went and complained to the management... They apologized and assured me that vegetarian tofu soup from Vietnam has pork in it. Makes no sense. Needless to say I did not enjoy my meal... They were nice enough to not charge me. I don't know if they realize that I could sue them... Luckily I am not sue happy but I really do think they took it too lightly!

Anywho - R and I are on the couch with the boys just chillaxing and recovering... :0)

Happy first day of 2011 peeps!

Happy New Year, K-dawg! Sorry about the pho. I've had pho before and I doubt even the broth is truly veggie based. But it would be so easy for you to make it at home and make sure it is pure veggie. Lemongrass goes really well in pho.
Happy New Year and may it bring you many more happy memories - like the ones you kinda remember from the pub.

The kicker is two fold. I alwayss heard that asian food had lots of veggie options. So I was down with it. I also ordered from the VEGETARIAN section - number and all - and still got pork. Apparently the owner fired the cook... I am not sure that he was properly trained.. but I never called her back to biotch about it. Perhaps tomorrow.

That bad, huh? The soup...not the evening, even if it is a bit of a blur!

After re-reading this I realize that it makes absolutely no sense. My bad. GO PACK!!!

It's strange to me that it doesn't piss me off more, but it doesn't... but yeah the pork in my veggie soup pissed me off... other than that? A GREAT TIME!!!!

If it was a 'blur' - it was a good evening I had to read your instructions on playing 'Beer Pong' three times - I thought you batted the half filled cups of beer (It is not the way you described it, it is because I am thick)
Happy New Year to the two of you
