I went to the vet this AM - Work had told me that I had best not be any later than 15 minutes or else it would be a problem. GRRR To me those are fighting words, especially when I am dealing with my baby boy or anything of the like! I said ok but I wasn't going to let any additional stress get to me. Bastids.

Anyways... I luckily got to the vet at 8 instead of 8:20, the 8 o clock had canceled so I was seen at about 8:10. yay! The vet felt his lump and said she thought it was a lymph node. I was very inquisitive due to the location and learned that there are two sets of lymph nodes in the neck area. One is where the jaw line is (this is the one I knew about), while the other is mid way down the neck (where his lump is). I didn't know that! I also learned that infection can cause just one to enlarge. Ok, that's good news as well.

She took blood - she said she wanted a full T4 count and white blood cell count to see if there was a viral or bacterial infection, and also she wanted to take blood now in case he needs surgery in the near future. That's the part that confused me. Do they remove lymph nodes? I need to research that. She was talking about masses and such so I don't think she really knows what's going on.

He is on antibiotics for now and will be rechecked the day after we get back from the cruise. Let's hope it's a lymph node and the swelling goes down!

In other news, I hate work. I got here on time by the way. :0) It's busy again today (or will be a bit later) and I am not happy. I am really looking forward to Friday!!! I can't believe our cruise is next week either... wow! It's a short week next week then we leave Wed night for FL! YAY! I can't wait! :0)
