Retirement Is Too Far Away

Hi!

Just checking in to say hello.

Things are going well here. I am really enjoying the land and the house, and while we are still getting settled, we are just about there. Very nice.

My Dad (very republican) sent me an email this morning entitled "Liberal Logic 101", essentially bashing all things liberal per usual, and I HAD to point out to him that the pic of the pro lifers making one of the many silly points was ALL MEN. Seriously. That stuff just burns me up.

In other news, poor Lennox lost his life this morning over in Belfast due to him looking like a pit bull. He had a loving family that he lived in peacefully (he was a gentle soul) for 7 years until the Belfast City Council came along and removed him from his home. They then kept him locked up for 2 years while the family tried to save him, and today the family lost the battle. I am almost happy that Lennox is finally free from the chains, but this does convince me that we need to FIGHT Breed Specific Legislation here in the states. Scary stuff.

Friday the 13th is this week. At noon that day, light a candle in memory of Lennox and then pray that the flames burn holes in the evil hearts of the BCC who condemned the poor pet to death. God will understand.

I spent 15 minutes on the phone once with a rep from our auto insurance company about a discount for getting homeowner's insurance and auto in a package. Yup, it took 15 minutes for him to get around to asking about dogs. My first "mistake" was to refer to Benny as a Shepherd-mix instead of a mutt. Then he asked about fences. Fences? This is the country. Nope, no fences. I terminated the call before things got out of hand.

Kristy, that pro life sht is not the business of men as we all know. WE are
the ones who have the burden while men just have fun. Too bad about
the pit bull..poor baby. I knew a gentle and sweet one at the farm. Hope
your power stayed on and it was good to hear from you.

Yes, you and I totally agree on that lady!

Our new house stayed strong and we were very proud of her. Only lost power for about 5 minutes.

We lost power for 5 minutes... VERY lucky! Many were not as fortunate. It was an awesome storm to behold though, the sky was so many different colors at once at one point.

Definitely need to fight that type of legislation. I've known lots of sweet pit bulls. So sad.

wow,that is really tough there.He is so sweet.They do not like pit bull there?weird.
They been having so much bad rap for the breed.
