Eloping

I asked R last night if he had gotten my email about getting hitched this weekend so I can ditch my last name. He smiled and said he did get it and that he was in. :0) It's good to know, not that it would ever happen! I envision a winery somewhere near my parents cottage... but then again I wouldn't care if it was a justice of the peace real quick either. But then again, who cares, this is not anything in my immediate future!

Last night I had another pet sitting meeting. These are painful for me. Very painful. First and foremost, everyone seems to know each other and have stories to tell about their clients, while I have my 3 or 4 clients who I know and have no real complaints about, ya know? Then the whole meeting focuses on issues for large(r) companies. I really think I am going to have to call this a hobby if I continue past this year. The IRS is gonna come calling and I don't want to deal with that business...

This Saturday should be a good day I hope. It will start with me getting a full head of (much needed!) highlights, then I am meeting an old high school friend for a late lunch, then R and I are supposed to have a date night since my hair will be lookin nice. Yay! I am just worried it's going to rain like the weather people are threatening. All hopes of good hair are out the window in rain. Ah, trials and tribulations of us girls trying to look nice! Anyways, we might go see Sex and the City. Apparently R's mother continually ask's R if he's taken me to see it yet, seeing as she know's I looooove it. :0) Too cute.

I started my aerogarden two weeks ago and my little cherry tomato plants are getting bigger! So cute! I normally have a black thumb, but this thing works wonders so far - the lights go on and off automatically, the water alerts you when it's low, it's just self sufficient and perfect for people like me who kill plants on a regular basis and also get no natural sunlight. :0) That was another gift from R's parents for Christmas! I am spoiled...

On Sunday R and I are going to go pick out some hanging plants. I want things to look nice when my parentals come to visit in a couple weeks! That also means I have a TON of cleaning to do. Bleh. But very worth it! I am excited to see them.

Tonight R is going out with the boys. I am going to chill at home with our boys, possibly clean a little bit, but most of all just kick back and relax at home. I can hardly wait!

HAPPY THURSDAY EVERYONE!!!

Going right this second (after clicking the button to post this) to dust the stairs. It's gotten thicker and thicker and someone is coming over tomorrow.

I'm soooooo incredibly friggin' jealous that you have an aerogarden. I called for the informative DVD and it never arrived. I was cruising through Bed Bath & Beyond the other day and stood there in the aisle, mesmerized, by the one they had on display.

Funny my parents are coming for a visit on Tuesday night for a week. I'm a cleaning maniac! Off to spin... I've had your blog open for hours and been too busy to comment. Let me know when you are in san fran. seems that a SW ticket might be only a few bucks more than amtrack's 11 hour trip each way!

I share the black thumb of death. I am eloping. I am glad that R is in for eloping this weekend. Just put that on the to do list. Men don't get hints, in case you haven't figured that out. Although R is pretty good I must say. I remember when I tried to get the admiral to buy me flowers via Navy D and he didn't pick up on that. Fun times. Anywho, just let me know where and when and we'll do it but I need more than a month's notice.

I have many little comments about this post:
1. Who says rain destroys nice hair? I personnally enjoy the "drowned rat" or "just washed dog" look on women!
2. R is REALLY going to take you to see Sex in the City???? Boy! Talk about TRUE LOVE!!!!! (The ULTIMATE chick flick!)
3. I never thought of tomato plants as "cute".
4. My daughter also has a brown or black thumb. She can kill any vegetation she goes near better than Round-Up. I once bought her a sign for her sparse garden that said, "I tried. It died." (It's a good thing she's got a good sense of humor!)
