The Cruise - Finally!

The cruise with my family was a lot of fun. We had A LOT of together time and it turned out to be just fine. My parents got us all really nice hotel rooms in FL, they were mini suites, there was a pool and restaurants in walking distance. Good times!

My oldest brother S likes to smoke cigars, so we ended up having a happen chance "meeting" place where we all were on the first day on the boat. It was funny, if anyone was bored we'd go there and someone would eventually show up looking for the others. Kinda cool. We got lots of family pictures which I am sure you have seen if you are my friend on facebook! :0)

My brother M, my SIL, R and I all entered to be in the Not so Newlywed game. I don't know what prompted me to enter us, but I did. R and I did not get picked, my very hesitant brother M and my SIL did get picked. After I heard the questions I was SOOOO HAPPY that we didn't get picked! If I had to answer some of those questions in front of the parentals and the rest of the fam I might have croaked. It was a lot of fun to watch them though. They didn't win but got consolation prizes. It was a fun evening.

We all went on some excursions and had a good time overall. I love cruises! One thing I must say is that I don't think I would do a Norwegian Cruise again. They had all our billing messed up, then my room key didn't work for purchases, then our bathrooms didn't work one morning, and some other stuff that happened. I guess I am spoiled by Disney??? I don't know, but I wasn't overly impressed with them.

In other news, I have ordered new glasses. I am hoping I like them and will actually be willing to wear them in public. hehehe We shall see. Here's a link to them , I got them in wine rose color. How fitting hey?

I hope you are all adjusting well to the loss of an hour! Myself, well, I really love sunshine so I think it's worth it. :0)

Anyways, happy Sunday peeps!

I really think I would love to go on an Alaskan cruise. Sounds as though you guys had lots of fun.

An Alaskan cruise is definately on my "things to do before I die" list. I don't do heat well so it needs to be a cold one!

Next on my list is the two weeker through the Panama Canal - Miami to Los Angeles in April or - Los Angeles to Miami in September.

It may be towards the bottom, but a cruise IS on my bucket list. I want one that makes frequent stops at ports, not just sailing around. Maybe Alaska. Thanks for the report. I was curious.

Yes - Alaska would be fantastic I think!

We have cruised Norwegian twice and it was perfect both times. I think it
all must depend on the Captain of the ship and his policies. We liked
Royal Carribean the least. But they are all wonderful.

I agree that they are all a good time, and Norwegian wasn't terrible by any means, just wasn't the best (for us!) either...

Welcome home, and glad to hear you had a wonderful time with your family. I agree: Norwegian Cruise Lines isn't as great as they would have us believe.

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed but perhaps I went in expecting too much...

Yay! A good cruise with your family! I know you were a little worried. So that's great. And the glasses look cool. Hope you like them on.
I'm cruising for the first time in June on Norwegian. I'm a little worried about motion sickness. But very excited because one of the stops is St. Petersburg!
