Yet another fantabulous weekend...
Friday night we chilled, we were going to watch movies but then we decided to play Uno, chess and checkers while listening to music instead. It was WONDERFUL! I lost every single game, but it was still a lot of fun and a nice alternative to our usual mindless movie watching... I was being a brat at the end of my losing streak and I was flicking his chess men out of my way when I wanted to move somewhere I couldn't. It was funny...
On Saturday we chilled til the afternoon then we went to IHOP for an early dinner. It was YUM and man did I get STUFFED! Then we decided to go to the mall because we wanted to hit Barnes and Noble and I wanted to go to Fridays for a mudslide. Yummy! Dr. W ended up driving out to meet us at Fridays for a couple drinks. All of us then ended up going to the favorite watering hole which was, as always, a blast!
Sunday morning I got up and went to work. It was actually pretty fun. I worked with the girl who used to live with lions and is afraid of dogs. haha  She is a lot of fun so it wasn't a bad 4 hours... after that I went home and we watched West Wing all night and ordered Chinese. Yummy! There is a place near my house that delivers, and they actually sell vegan chicken and vegan beef, so my new favorite is vegan beef lo mein! I don't know what's in the lo mein business but I know the meat is vegan! It's soooo yummy!
R helped me with the hot pack cold pack game for Kraymer all weekend... Kraymer dawg is such a trooper, really. His swelling is up to about tennis ball size, so I called the vet this morning - she gets into work at about noon - so we'll see what she says. I am afraid it's going to be a drainage tube... I am sad to say I don't really know what that means but it certainly doesn't sound like fun for him or me. *Sigh* Will it ever end? It was cute though this morning during the final ice pack session Kraymer just layed down on the frozen bag of veggies... it was like he was saying "fiiiiiiiine..."Â poor dude...
In other news, I was joking with R while we were out on Saturday and I asked him about when he get's his new job (which will pay significantly more than his current job) if I can retire. I know I really can't because his mortgage is going to be through the roof, but his answer surprised me. He said that he had thought about that and he's hoping it will work out where I can work for the Farm Sanctuary down here. When we went to the book signing I met with a couple people who will be working for the Farm Sanctuary out of the DC area, and they had mentioned that they are going to be finding and setting up office space soon...  sooooooo EXCITING TIMES might be on my horizon!!!!
Dare to dream people... dare to dream...
