My Dad had the surgery on his heart this morning at around 8:00. My sis and Mom were there while I was at work. We got good news that the surgery went well. He'll be in ICU for a few days. Last I talked to Mom and Sis, Dad hadn't woke up yet. They expected that he would be out of it for the greater part of the night. I'm sure tomorrow he'll be more alert and in a great deal of pain. I'm thankful that the surgery went without complication though. They removed 3 veins in his legs and one in his arm to use for the bipasses. Thank you for your prayers.

Whew! I'm glad to hear this good news. It will be tough for your dad for awhile, so you've got to take care of yourself, too, so you don't get all worn out. I'll keep all of you in my prayers.

It sounds like things are going very well. I know it is stressful, but I am glad that they are looking great.

That's so tough. I went through it many years ago with my own dad. It was one of the hardest things I remember going through. I thought I'd never get through it at that time.

I'm so glad he is doing well. I just read your posts and am so so sorry. I will put you and your family in my prayers. Take care and I'm sorry you are having to go through this and am so glad you have someone to help you with it!

Glad your dad is doing well. My dad had a triple bypass years ago and was actively enjoying life until cancer took him two years ago.
