Thursday?

5 things I am grateful for:
My family, including my kids and hubby and all my siblings and their families
My health, I sometimes take for granted how healthy I am and I am grateful that each day I can get out of bed and do the things I need to.
My friends, including all of you! Whether I am having a good or bad day, you all are there to listen and encourage.
My inlaws, who have never treated me as an inlaw, just a part of their family. Its great to have a second family!
My relationship with my daughter. She is an amazing young woman. We have been through some really bad times but we have made it to the other side. I appreciate her so much and am blessed to have her as my daughter.
I thought it was time I started doing this again. Writing down the things I am grateful for. It does help to put your mind in a better place.
I had to go feed my inlaws cats today, they are on a trip until Sunday. They have 6 cats and each cat has its own dish with its name on it. And they all know which dish is theirs and only eat from that dish! Too funny!
Yesterday gas was 3.77, today it jumped to 3.84. But a holiday weekend is upon us and we get many tourists through here on their way to our beaches. I think Delaware residents should get a discount. And why do people still drive at 70 mph knowing that really eats the gas up???
I ordered a custom designed tee shirt for kota's teacher. Its a long sleeve tee shirt. I put on it, I taught Kota first grade....and survived! I actually put kota's full name but I can't divulge that information. hehehe I think he will really like it. I wanted something personal for him as he has helped kota so much this year and is just a great teacher. Most gifts are geared towards female teachers so I thought this was a good idea.

It's amazing, just how much we take for granted. The beauty that can be found in a simple blade of grass or some chore which has always been some kind of 'bug-bear' in your past, can, become something that you'd quite cheerfully put up with in your future. It is most definitely a good thing to appreciate just what we do, have

Writing a list of all the things you are grateful for really puts things into perspective, doesn't it!?

I've been practicing voicing my thankfulness for all my blessings too Mary

I have several comments Mary:
I love your list. It's great. My husband and I have a journal that we right down (3) good things about each other. We actually haven't done it an awhile and I may have to fix that starting today.

My husband slowed down his commute from 70mph to 60mph on his last tank of gas and he got 40 more miles out the tank, so now I'm only going to drive 60mph... every little bit helps.

Love the t-shirt gift. Fabulous

I think it was $3.94 when I filled up Monday, I've stopped looking at it, I've got to have it. That is a cute idea about the t-shirt.. I like the idea of a blog of things to be grateful for.

The t-shirt is an amazing idea! I think you guys get out of school earlier than us...the girls still have a full five weeks of school left.Great list of things you're grateful for, by the way...I'll have to try that. I just feel too sad still to try it today. Maybe tomorrow....
