In a Nutshell

I got the job at walmart. And I have to say, it was the best interview I have ever had. 3 department managers talked to me. Walmart has tons of questions they ask, for specific circumstances. It was getting crazy. So we were all getting tired of it and took a break. The one lady took me up front to meet the manager in charge of cashiers. And she introduced me as her new cashier. My jaw hit the floor. She chuckled. We went back, they decided they didn't really need to ask me all the dumb questions. They filled me in on some gossip, took me to the break room for coffee. I wish I could work with these ladies, they are a hoot! So I just have to go for my drug test tomorrow and then they will call me when they get the results.
I ran into the two guys from class who work there. the one, mr. hottie was really picking on me. Said I should have applied as a cart pusher, which is his job. I told him I did, but they are afraid women would get attacked at night. I told him, little do they know my martial arts skills. LOL He said, right you are a white belt!
It does look like it will be a fun job, although coming into the busy season. But its ok, I have worked retail during many Christmas seasons.
I am exhausted. I think just because I had worked up a good case of nerves all day. but thats how I am, nervous nervous nervous. School starts next Thursday. I am hoping I won't start before that. I will check in on everyone tomorrow, heading for bed now.

I knew you could do it - Well done mary
Pace yourself, make things fit into your day nicely, if you have to cut a class - do it. Your health comes first - so does your job. The club is a Leisure option, only do it because you want to, not because you feel you should. Great things are comming your way - I can feel it in me bones

Oh, Mary! That's awesome! A job on the first try! You are really an inspiration to me...you asked for what you wanted and then you received it. And I'm so glad.Plus I think it will be great for you to get out and see other adults and have some extra moolah to spend.

I think breaking in on a new job is always tiring. You'll get into the routine soon.

Congrats on getting the job, and I'm sure it will all work out and you will feel calmer about everything. Any change can be stressful. Will you have a flexible schedule or a regular one? When will you have Kota's school schedule so you can ask for time off for those extra-special school events? I know lots of working moms want to make those arrangements as soon as they can. Or maybe your work schedule won't conflict with those things. Good luck, Mary!!!

Well can't you tell them when you will start? I am sure they will understand. The best chance you have for getting time off is at the start of a job. I am glad you are excited and happy! I am curious to see how long that lasts... Don't mind me, I am bitter about work!
