Interesting

This was an interesting development. I was at school to pick Kota up yesterday. My friend who lives around the corner from me walks in and says, did Kota get kicked off too? I said, yeah for 3 days. Apparently she has talked to the behavior coach and this bus driver will not be rehired next year. They have had numerous complaints. My friend told me that she listens to what the girls say and thats why the boys are always in trouble! The counselor was standing there as we were talking, watching us.
Last night hubby got my garden area tilled. Then I told him I needed it bigger. He looked at me like I was crazy. But I need a big garden, I plan on canning and freezing! It will be alot of work but Kota will help me. Just mention water and dirt to him and he is there! LOL
I had a note from his teacher yesterday, it said Dakota had a great day today! So he let kota use the microscope to look at different slides. I swear, he is my little scientist. I am looking into different group activities I can get him into. Like soccer, karate, day camp in the summer. I have been told this is the key to helping him with his issues.
Its going to be another glorious day here! As we received our tax refund this week, I think its time for those home improvements. Painting for one thing. And we really need to replace the tile in the kitchen. Parts are faded from where the sun hits it and tiles are chipped or even coming off. I will need to shop around for tiles.
So today I am in another good mood.

Okay, Mary, I need tips on gardening. I'm growing herbs, of course, but I'm also growing tomatoes. I have a grape tomato plant which is pointed toward the sky right now. It is full of tomatoes (green) and blooms. How do I get it to stop getting higher. I have it tied up to a tall post, but I think maybe I need something else. It's honestly like 5 ft high. The smaller one is cherry tomatoes and it's not tall yet, but it has the cutest tomatoes on it. My green pepper plants are small less than 4 inches, I have 4 of them. Do I need to have them in separate pots? What else could I grow in pots that would flourish? Let me know. Need help!

I'm so glad you're having a good day and all is shining brightly on Kota and yourself

I'm glad the counselor heard the two of you talking! The school needs to know that you are not alone in this and that parents are talking amongst themselves! Have fun with your canning and freezing. When my ex and I lived in Oregon (my son was under a year old) my mother-in-law taught me how to can things, so I did it for one year. It's been so long since I've done it though that I've forgotten how it's done.

Just curious--did you ask my nephew what group activities he would be interested in doing?? Sometime the parents pick what THEY think will interest the kid but be completely off base--just a thought because I know you aren't that type of parent, right? RIGHT!

YAY! So nice to hear you're in a good mood. Sounds like you have a lot to be happy about -- the bus driver not being rehired, a nice big garden, a tax return...

good mood!!!
Sounds like a lot of work around the house, but I am sure, as you know, it will be VERY worthwhile!
I am glad that bus driver is getting the boot.

Day camp was great for me when I was a kid. We would go swimming, nature trail hikes and the the like. It was alot of fun and I won a plaque for the sports events. That might be something him to look into.
