Words Fail Me

The last two days have been a blur. The family reunion was
easy to prepare for, the weather was perfect and everyone
had a good time. The girls were literally overcome with
all of their presents. They got so much stuff that they
won't have to buy anything but diapers.

The food was great, the kids ate outside and stayed out there
most of the time. The hard part was the cleanup as their
was so much furniture I had to move back into place since
we set up three tables and had to sort of denude the living
room. I have the folding chairs and table loaded to take
back to Renee and I did the vacuming before I moved the
furniture back.

We used plastic plates and paper napkins but had enough
silverware to go around and didn't have to resort to plastic.
I had washed windows and cleaned the things that wouldn't
get messed up again so the fall cleaning is done and I can
enjoy the weather.

It was shocking to see the toll time had made on my cousin.
She is several years younger than I am and very frail. She
has not stayed active and it makes a huge difference. If
you don't use it, you lose it.

Rex suffered greatly from the puppy who literally wore him
out. Sara did bring that terrible little beast. Rex is very good with children and other dogs, he has the patience
of a saint.

Glad that you did.A very interesting book there.

I am halfway through the book. It is fascinating, especially the way that
artists and writers lived then and how he knew every one in that world.

Glad you enjoyed yourself. It is great being surrounded by those whom you love- and who love you.

Family can be great. I cringe when I think of Sara's poor judgement. Then, I remember my own and my daughter survived.

Teal, I know all about fur, Rex has to be combed every day or we drown in it.
He considers it a privilege. Ashley loves to dust so she dusted the day before the party...she uses a lot of pledge but it is worth it! The furniture moving was the worst. Ellie helped but Ted isn't able to. Take it
easy and let Ed coddle you. The cats are probably very happy to have you
to themselves. They like nothing better than to snuggle up in bed. Except
for Buddy, who is not much of a snuggler.

He snuggles with Mr. Tbend, but nobody else.

and I thought I'd had a busy weekend. Glad the reunion was such a success.

It is my sister's turn next year. I love it when it is her turn but everyone
brings their prize recipes and the food is wonderful.

We just moved to a new house, which I cleaned from top to bottom before moving day. It is *so* nice not to have to fall clean, aside from the normal day-to-day.Glad you had such a wonderful weekend...it sounds lovely.

It was good. I especially enjoyed my nephews and one of them has a little
girl, Layla, that is so precious that I always want to keep her.

It sounds like a wonderful, busy time together, well worth the effort involved. Yes, clean-up can get out of hand without help, but the pressure is off at least. Wishing you a smiling spell of relaxation and recovery — and keep celebrating all the memories! I'm hoping for a little walk today between the rain drops, and I'll be thinking of you....

The girls just got so many presents. Four or five outfits in each package.
I tried to buy assorted sizes because babies grow so fast. Kevin Anne
is having one more shower and has had a diaper shower. She will be a single
Mom and the father has no interest whatever in the baby so she needs all she
can get.

My worry is clean-up beforehand, not after ... things get away from me. Only guests make me spring into action. It's all those cats, all that fur ... Glad you had a good time and now can relax. Friends my age, and somewhat younger, are not doing as well, although I've had my problems this year (that I consider temporary). It is what it is and we can't do much about it.

sounds like a good day but tiring. Now that it is over you can relaxed there.
Take care and easy.

I checked out the Memoirs by Tennessee Williams. It is hard to put down.
There are so many icky books out there that this one is a refreshing change
and totally honest.

Ah, the upside and downside to "parties". Take it easy today--but get your walk in!

I did my walk. As long as the weather is nice, I am ok but the treadmill
is so boring that I tend to give up when it is cold.

Eek! I guess I need to stay active hey? I'm glad all went well with your reunion! sounds very nice...
