Unpacking

I am unpacking and doing laundry and sorting out some cleaning...that is the downside of going places but well worth it. I washed out my containers with bleach and put them out to air and they are lovely now. So there Ms. Laura.

I have decided to take the denim to the laundry and let them worry about ironing it. Ted dug up some sage brush for me and I hope it lives. It is such a pretty color and smells so good that I am going to plant a little desert garden with lavender and sage and the rocks that I brought from the base of the mountain.

I am in the throes of a dilemma about the carved Japanese table that I bought. It needs to be sprayed with black lacquer because it is nicked. If I do it, it will get done today but may not look as good as if Ted does it. However he is slow and has too many projects to get right on it.

Oh well, what do I know?

Jeri, you iron denim? I don't. The little garden sounds heavenly! Once I brought a tiny cactus home from the desert... but I don't have a green thumb -- at all! I'm with Kristi when it comes to the table. Do it, and if it needs fixing, let Ted do it over!

I have lavender gowing with my other herbs--and sage. They are very refreshing and give off wonderful scents everytime that I water.

I can't get over how creative and energetic you are! These past several years I got a bit lazy about the house and stopped building/ changing/ adding things. Shame on me! You are motivating me to get back out into my yard.

Welcome back! Been wondering where you were. Guess you slipped off on vacation while I was off line trying to get moved.

What else did those candlesticks say besides Czechoslovakia?

You have denim ironed? Awesome. is your Japanese table an antique? You know on the Roadshow, they always say "gahhhh, you changed it." If, however,
you don't think it's valuable, then go for it. Just take your time.

hehe that last line made me laugh... FREDO!
I say go for doing the table... I think you'll do great! And if not, Ted can always fix it, right?

Glad you're home safe. I've moved sage brush with no problems if it's small but once the root system gets going, transplanting can be iffy. Hope yours makes it.
