Tuesday

My antique and collectables group meets this morning and
I have the lesson on Jewel Tea autumn leaf pattern. I killed the printer running off the hand outs but finally
got all that I needed. The presenter brings the refreshments so I made banana bread.

Ted and I made an internet diagnosis of the cause of his neuropathy. Fixodent contains zinc and he has used it
lavishly for l2 years since his uppers are false. He is
going to tell his doctor about it and the tests for zinc
poisening. I am sure his doctor will resent our help since they all tell you to stay off the internet.

I am going to help Ellie take up the carpet in Adrienne's
room this afternoon. I hope we can manage it. There is a
wood parquet floor underneath and I hope it will still be
in decent condition.

I did a weeks worth of cleaning yesterday and climbed around
on a ladder dusting. I am going to see about sending Linda
the antique bookcase that she wants. I need the wall space.
I have always had a gallery wall and right now, I have stored a lot of pictures in the closet and have to rotate
them. We are going to have to get Lane back I guess because
Ted can no longer hang a heavy mirror or change a ceiling
fan.

Teal go to the internet and check this out and have Ed read about it and try to get him on a zinc free cream. We had never heard about it until a little blip came on tv advertising a law firm and of course Ted checked it
out and found it fit his every symptom. It is extremely toxic and being
in the mouth is dangerous.

I am proud of you guys for possibly finding what is ailing Ted. I mean seriously, no one else has figured it out yet so if they belittle your input I would move on to another doctor!
Have fun this afternoon with your daughter!

Doctors seem to be threatened if you research the internet to find out things you need to know. I don't know why because it seems to me that
the more knowledge you have the better.

Be careful climbing around on those ladders dusting. The last thing you need right now is to fall and hurt yourself.

That's how my mother broke her hip...trying to dust the top of her china cabinet.

I know that I shouldn't be up there but I literally hate dust and cobwebs.
I remember that my mother and step father were afraid to change light
bulbs when they got older and I didn't understand but now I do.

Hope you get a definitive diagnosis soon. I have never heard of zinc poisoning. Ed uses Fixodent. I'm telling him about this right away. But if the content in Fixodent causes problems, why isn't this more widely known and dealt with?
comment by tealstar on July 13, 2010 8:12 AM ()
Reply above. Check this out under Fixodent and you will get all kinds of links.

Wear a scarf wrapped over your nose and mouth when tearing up that carpet because there can be a lot of dust down underneath the pad.

We didn't but it was easier than we thought it would be.

Whether the doctor resents it or not, maybe this will help find out what is wrong with Ted. Your antique group sounds interesting.

I truly hope so. The antique and collectables group is fun and right in
my neighborhood. The group is small and attends auctions and flea markets.
They went to the huge one in Canton, Texas but I didn't go because of Ted.
