Seasons

There is something about the inevitable march of seasons
that I find intriguing. We look forward to each one, and
each one brings it's own flavor to our lives. Winter is
coming and it means cold but it also means the comfort of
hot soup and warm fires and cozy times reading or playing
games. It is a time when I see two of my grandaughters
every day and listen to their triumphs and disappointments.

We welcome the warm breeze of spring time and get the urge
to plant gardens. It is a time of re-birth and renewal and
we cherish each day and enjoy being out of doors in the
sunshine.

Summer can be hot and miserable but you have the long hours
of light and dusk. It is a fine time to enjoy a cold drink
on the porch and watch the birds settle for the evening.

Autumn is my favorite. The leaves are changing and the days are golden. I always want it to last as long as
possible but I know that the trees will lose their leaves
and winter will come.

Life is analogous to the seasons. We all experience it.
I am in the winter of my life and have made a lot of
mistakes but in general it has been good and I can savor
the last few drops in the cup.

Like you, autumn is my favorite. I always hate to see it end as winter is my least favorite season.

I like them all. It's just great to be alive.

I'm going to start looking for the good in our rainy season aka winter.

Winter is my least favorite season, since it last too damn long in these parts. On the other hand, the winter of my life can last as long as possible since it beats the alternative! Happy Fall.

Yes, we want to stick around as long as we are well and healthy. I would
rather have the heat than a long winter. I think I like the seasonal
changes.

Jeri I still can't get in touch with Sue. No answer.

See my message...I lost her phone #.

Winter is my least favorite. Fall is my second least favorite because it means that winter is coming. Spring means that summer is coming. And summer is the best, even with the heat.

I guess fall and then spring are my favorites. We don't usually have long
winters and I love sweaters and winter clothes.

i have always loved winter but for some reason I am really sad to see summer leave us this year. Autumn is a wonderful season, the cool nights, the crisp air! I always likes when I had to break out the warmer clothes.

Winter clothes are better. I like boots and sweaters and am glad to see
long skirts coming back.

Me too, it will be good to the last drop.

Fall is my best and do not mind winter too much as long that I am warm.

Yes, a cozy, comfy winter is bearable and that is when we have the drama
season here.

Fortunately winters can be both long and beautiful....

Yes, I don't want a winter that leads to a cold and lonely time in a
nursing home.

Amen Ms. Jeri. The more I lose people, the more I savor. Even here in the sub-tropics, the weather changes although not as dramatically. I always liked snow and I, too, love the fall. I was always astonished that you could have an incredibly hot August 31 and SUDDENLY, the day after Labor Day, the weather was nippy and school was in the air. Where I grew up, school didn't start till after Labor Day. I have a winter photo of the view from our New York apartment after a blizzard. When I get nostalgic I take it out and look at it.

Me too. I have lost so many dear friends. The weather is freaky. We went
from a week of extremely hot temperatures to mornings and evenings in the
sixties. It is mind boggling. I find it hard to believe that school starts
so early.
