Owen Has Arrived

Sara was able to produce Owen after 20 hours of labor without
recourse to a C section. He has golden brown hair and blue
eyes at present and weighs 6lbs, loz. That is precisely
what Linda weighed.

I am trembling with fear. We have a leak in our bathroom,
evidently under the slab. We have a plumber that we have
used for twenty years and whom we trust. He will come out
with one of his employees and supervise the repair. They will
probably have to break into the tile somewhere. Woe is me.
In the meantime, they have water cut off to the master bath
and it is most inconvenient. They are waiting to fix it until
he gets freed up enough to come with them.

Ironically, Sara was offered a position as a music teacher
while she was in labor. Ain't that the way of fate! I hope
she was able to stall them for a couple of weeks.

It is time for me to go and fix breakfast. Happy weekend.

Plumbing woes are the worst. Good luck with the fix and hope the charges aren't impossible. Congratulations on new grandchild. Sounds beautiful.

We have enough travertine to have the floor repaired but they are saying they
will have to remove the step into the tub...Bummer.

Congratulations!! Sorry about the bathroom. Alas, I am not a plumber, otherwise I'd be right over.

Thanks for the offer for less daunting problems. It seems that there has
been one crisis after another this fall.

I'll bet they will give her some time unless they are just desperate.
Congrats on that new great grandson! What a special time for your family.

Let's hope they will let her wait a little while. Music teachers have few
chances now with all schools having budget problems.

Eek I hope all goes well with the plumbing - and it sounds as though you are a proud great grandma!!!

I am proud of Sara. Do you suppose that she and Curtis will grow up now?

I have gone so low that I am using eggo waffles. Ted likes them because they
are crisp and I like them because they are easy.

Say hello to all the kitties for me.

Well, congratulations! I'm sure Sara's job offer will be put on hold once they see the circumstances. If you're fixing French toast or pancakes for breakfast, waft me up some odors.

We need some of Laura's good cooking to inspire us. Right about now, I could
use one of her pies.
